Angela Day is a Family Support and Community Engagement Specialist, Licensed Behavior Specialist, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst with Achieving True Self who joined us in 2017. She is the proud mother of two older boys; her youngest being diagnosed with a rare genetic form of epilepsy and autism as a child. She grew up in a small rural town in Washington County Maryland and attended Shepherd University, Wilson College and Concordia University. She received a master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum with a minor in the Inclusive Classroom. Receiving highly qualified teaching status through MSDE in special education, she taught for ten years in both in general and special education classrooms. She has a true passion for helping others and finds joy seeing success stories, knowing that she played a small part in their achievements. She considers it a privilege to work 1:1 with children through implementing ABA, but also connects with families and the community through events and social groups. She feels her position at Achieving True Self is the best of both worlds! Angie, her family, and their pets live in Franklin County, PA.
Fun Fact(s) About Angie: In the early 2000’s, if you traveled by air, you might have had the pleasure of having Angie as your flight attendant! She also is a huge sports fan and loves watching Sunday afternoon football with her boys.
