Allyson (Ally) has been in the ABA field for over sixteen years providing services to children and young adults on the autism spectrum in schools, homes, and communities. She is a passionate supporter of ABA as not only a therapeutic tool, but a way to make the world a better place for all.
She joined the Achieving True Self team in 2020 as a Clinical Director of ABA Services in Allegheny County. She came to ATS because she strongly believes in our mission to support clients, families, and staff in reaching their goals, backed by the science of ABA.
She attended the University of Denver to earn her masters degree in education in 2002, then earned a post-graduate certificate in ABA at the Florida Technical Institute in 2013. She became a BCBA in 2014, and went on to lead a team of BCBAs and special education teachers specializing in working with students with severe behaviors in the school setting. While in that role, she has also used ABA principles to improve staff training and to increase the use of ecologically friendly habits across the school.
She has put her roots down in Pittsburgh, though she spends a lot of time in West Virginia chasing adventures with her partner and two kids. Their cat, Smokey Pizza, usually stays home!
Fun Fact(s) About Ally: Her family loves the outdoors, and they enjoy getting out to snowboard, bike, hike, and whitewater raft whenever they can.
