Christina is a dedicated wife and mom of three. She has evolved as a passionate advocate for individuals and families impacted by disabilities. With her own family being touched by multiple diagnoses including autism, she has coordinated events for local and national charitable organizations to fund research, support services and even service dogs for families like hers. She started with ATS in March 2019 and truly feels at home surrounded by a supportive and compassionate team. Christina coordinates resources, connects with families during the intake process, and engages with community organizations. She enjoys giving back to others. We are excited that Christina is also providing All About Me profiles and Vision Statements to ATS families who request them! These personalized documents can be given to teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals or anyone working with their child. These pages are a great visual to showcase a child's strengths and abilities until they use their own voice to advocate for themselves. She manages a blog and social media platforms as "Love, Hope & Autism" where she provides resources and shares their journey with their son Ethan, also known as "Bubba." She is also proud to be the coordinator for Changing Spaces Pennsylvania, a movement to build accessible restrooms with height adjustable adult sized changing tables across communities. She is working side by side with Representative Dan Miller to pass a bill in PA that would require such facilities in hospitals, airports, museums, rest stops, sports arenas and more. With Christina's advocacy efforts, Pittsburgh International Airport installed a powered height adjustable adult sized changing table in a fully accessible restroom located next to the Sensory Room, Presley's Place. Christina now speaks to groups across the lifespan. Christina is committed to spreading a message of heightened awareness of multiple conditions, increasing acceptance of differences and ultimately inspiring hope. Christina, her family and pets are from Allegheny County, PA.
