ACHIEVING TRUE SELF ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING OF ITS THIRD CENTER FOR ACHIEVEMENT LOCATED IN ABINGDON, MARYLAND: OFFERS EVIDENCE-BASED CARE AND SUPPORT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM AND THEIR FAMILIES

Excitement mounts for its ribbon cutting with the Harford County Chamber of Commerce on May 9, 2024.

ABINGDON, MD: 4/9/24

Achieving True Self (ATS), an organization supporting hundreds of individuals and families in the Northeastern U.S. touched by autism, behavioral health diagnoses, and/or intellectual disabilities, is opening the doors to its third Center for Achievement located at 3465 Box Hill Corporate Center Drive; Suite H; Abingdon, MD 21009.

Located in Harford County and just five miles from the Baltimore County line, the opening of this location brings the community a center-based learning environment for individuals who have autism, behavioral health challenges, intellectual disabilities, and/or other learning differences. Services provided are guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, a scientific and proven (through over six decades of research) means of analyzing human behavior. The center’s initial programming focuses on early learners, generally children under the age of six (Pre-K) and social skills groups for all ages.

On May 9, the center will host a ribbon cutting (3:30PM-5:30PM) in partnership with the Harford County Chamber of Commerce at 4PM, followed by refreshments and tours with multiple members of the ATS leadership team and field staff.

“Opening a center that brings play-based, compassionate, and evidence-based interventions to Harford County has been a dream in the works for several years,” says Jess VanDevander, Director of ABA. “Achieving True Self is a mission-based company that thrives on a simple concept: people matter. We are thrilled to be able to expand our services in this region to support individuals with autism and their families.”
